Introducing the redesigned Acura MDX Type S, a three-row SUV with superior craftsmanship and performance.

Under The Hood
This 7-seat family sports utility vehicle comes with the same 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine of the TLX Type S sedan.
Featuring a double-scroll turbocharger and direct injection engine, the Acura MDX Type S generates 355-hp and 354 Ib-ft of torque, making it Acura’s fastest accelerating SUV.
Engine sends power to all four wheels through an optimized 10-speed automatic gearbox and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system.
The drivetrain generates 70 percent of the engine’s torque to the left or right back wheels for improved traction and grip on any road, including ice and snowy ones.
Comfort and Convenience
MDX Type S has a new “Lift mode” that raises ground clearance by two inches above snow and rugged terrain. It also is the first Acura vehicle with adaptive air suspension that allows load leveling and programmable parking lights.
Cabin features soft-touch Milano leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch HD center display. It also offers an exclusive audio system with 25 speakers, two amplifiers, carbon speaker cones and illuminated grilles.
Safety
The Acura MDX Type S comes with an expanded suite of AcuraWatch™ driver-assist and advanced safety features. The list of driving aids includes road departure mitigation, traffic jam assist, driver attention monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.
There also is an innovative front and rear low-speed braking system, which uses sonars to detect obstacles and stop the vehicle from driving forward or reversing between one and six mph.
