Acura's 2024 MDX has a wide range of amenities and models to turn your summer into a memorable adventure.
Offered in two elite powertrain options, the 2024 MDX also comes with versatile passenger seating and an impressive roster of safety technologies.
The 2024 MDX is available in six trim levels. Standard, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, Type S and Types S Advance Packages.
All models are equipped with front-wheel drive. An optional Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is an excellent choice for stability on winding roads in summertime.
Under the Hood
The entry-level MDX is fitted with a 3.5-liter powertrain that generates 290 hp and 267 Ib-ft of torque.
A second engine choice is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 355 hp and 354 Ib-ft of torque output.
Both engines pair with smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmissions that conserve fuel for long distance summer road trips. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the base 2024 MDX has an estimated 19 mpg for city driving and 26 mpg on the highway.
The 3.0-liter V6 achieves an EPA- estimated 17 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway which makes it a fuel efficient choice for family vacations.
Comfort and Convenience
A generous 12.3-inch HD display is paired with a console-mounted touchpad interface that keeps amenities within reach of the driver.
The controller is synced to an Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a multi-view rear camera and several navigation apps. Navigation apps display real-time traffic updates as well as detours in congested summer traffic areas.
The in-car navigation system can also help families plan an itinerary for summer adventures, pit stops and nearby activities. With Alexa voice commands can help finding local sites quickly.
The virtual assistant technology can also be used to set sunscreen reapplication reminders or lunch break alarms to keep summer outings on schedule. A standard nine-speaker audio system offers an acoustic experience for passengers to listen to their favorite summer tunes and podcasts on the go.
Two optional premium systems, the ELS Studio with 12 speakers and the ELS Studio 3D with 16 speakers, are offered on high-end packages.
