The 2022 TLX offers two powertrain choices, a tech-focused interior and a network of advanced sensing systems for an enjoyable drive experience.
It has been resculpted with a 3.7-inch longer wheelbase, 2.2-inch expansive body and a lower roofline. Other-eye catching modifications include a restyled front grille, Jewel Eye LED headlights and a two-display infotainment setup.
In addition, the TLX Type S model returns after a 10-year hiatus with a new V6 engine and bespoke Sport+ mode for enthusiasts looking for race car enhancements inside and out.
Under the Hood
The standard TLX is powered by a 2.0-liter engine that generates 272 hp and 280 Ib-ft of torque, while the Type S offers a new 3.0-liter engine, generating 355 hp and 354 Ib-ft of torque.
The front-drive TLX is EPA-rated for 22/31 mpg in city/highway driving. Models equipped with Acura's Super Handling All Wheel Drive deliver EPA-estimated 19/25 mpg for city/highway mileage.
Both turbocharged engines are mated to a seamless 10-speed automatic transmission with instant throttle response and rapid acceleration.
Comfort and Convenience
Every TLX is fitted with a 7-inch gauge cluster display and 10.2-inch console-mounted touchpad that uses absolute positioning technology to help drivers stay focused on the road.
Alternate control functions are accessible via steering wheel buttons and tangible controls, next to the touchpad, with a padded armrest offering easy-to-reach convenience.
Infotainment features for the entry-level TLX include Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, a 10-speaker stereo, HD radio and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
