The Acura MDX offers sharp styling, expansive cabin space and updated technology from the full redesign first introduced in 2022.
Acura offers six unique trims-- MDX, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, Type S and Type S Advance. For the 2023 model year, free AcuraLink and complimentary maintenance services are exclusive to the MDX and MDX Type S.
Acura includes the Acura Maintenance Package for MDX and MDX Type S customers. The complimentary maintenance plan provides the first two years or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first).
The special package covers select factory-scheduled maintenance, as indicated by MDX’s Maintenance Minder system and performed at a participating Acura dealership. The plan includes standard oil and filter changes, tire rotation and multi-point inspections. It also is fully transferable to subsequent owners while active.
Under the Hood
Equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine synced to a 10-speed transmission, the MDX generates 290 hp and 267 Ib-ft of torque.
All Type S models deliver additional power for slick-shifting automatic transmission through a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 355 hp and 354 Ib-ft of torque.
Comfort and Convenience
The 2023 MDX has a tech-loaded front row with dual 12.3-inch displays. The first is a fully digital instrument cluster and the second is an infotainment screen controlled by a trackpad on the center console.
Available on all models is wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa and Wi-Fi hotspot capability controlled by the remote touchpad.
Three USB ports and a wireless charger are accessible in the front row and two USB ports in the second row.
Heated seats with 12-power adjustment and driver memory, a telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, tri-zone climate control and LED interior lighting are also basics of the entry-level MDX.
Advance trim levels include a head-up display, surround-camera system and USB ports for third-row occupants.
A nine-speaker audio system is standard on the MDX. Acura also offers 12, 16 and 25-speaker ELS Studio premium setups on higher trims.

The 2022 MDX earned the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety with Superior scores for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian crash prevention. It also earned an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
