The Acura ILX offers the performance and value that have made it a perennial favorite for sports sedans enthusiasts.
Under the Hood
Acura’s ILX is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter I-4 engine producing 201 hp and 180 Ib-ft of torque. Its front wheel and 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission deliver smooth and timely shifts.
Road tests have clocked the ILX at 60 mph in 6.4 seconds and an economy rating of 34 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg in the city.
Comfort and Convenience
The ILX sedan comes with a roomy cabin that comfortably fits five people. The 12.4 cubic-foot trunk with foldable rear seats provides extra cargo space for long items.
All models come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The AcuraLink® telematics system connects the ILX to most smartphones.
Other standard features include: a sun roof, 4-way power adjustable front seats, a self-dimming rearview mirror and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Safety
This compact sedan comes with the standard AcuraWatch system—a suite of safety and driver-assisted technologies that enhance driving awareness, prevent collisions and lessen the force of impact.
Key safety features include: lane departure warning and lane keeping assist system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross alert.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2021 Acura ILX an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars in frontal crash and rollover tests.
