The 2023 Acura TLX announces powertrain choices, a luxurious interior and cutting-edge safety technology that redefines the driving experience.
Acura offers seven trim levels. Base, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package, Type S, Type S with Performance Tires and Type S PMC Edition.
Type S PMC Edition is available in CurvaRed and 130R White while Long Beach Blue is new for the model year.
Exterior accents include an all black roof, antenna, door handles and exhaust tips. Other details are a carbon-fiber decklid spoiler, rear diffuser and copper-colored 20-inch lightweight wheels.
Under the Hood
Standard is a 2.0-liter engine with 272 hp and 280 Ib-ft of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for quick acceleration, sharp throttle response and seamless gear changes.
For drivers looking for more speed, the Type S provides a 3.0-liter V6 with 355 hp and 354 peak torque output. A stiffer suspension system and bespoke Sport+ mode enables it to reach a speed of 0-60 mph in 5 seconds.
According to EPA estimates, the front-wheel drive 2023 TLX delivers 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drives drop to 21/29 mpg for city and expressway drivers respectively.
Comfort and Convenience
The compact luxury sedan has a standard 10.2-inch infotainment screen on the center console. Its ergonomic touchpad uses absolute positioning for drivers to access the display while remaining focused on the road ahead.
Add-ons include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, Sirius XM, a 10-speaker audio system, two USB charging ports and Wi-Fi hotspot for connecting seven devices simultaneously.
Higher trims features are Qi-compatible wireless charging and a premium audio system with 17 speakers including four ultra-slim overhead acoustic outlets.
The 2023 TLX gets two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance for oil changes and tire inspections.
